1. Definition
A lotion pump, or say as liquid dispenser, is an essential accessory for containers to distribute the liquid. Based on the principle of atmospheric pressure balance, it pumps liquid out of the bottle by pressing and lets external air enter the bottle.
2. Structure
A regular lotion pump head usually consists of components including actuator, upper stem, collar, gasket, cap, piston, lower stem, spring, pump housing, glass ball and dip tube.

3. Common Types of Lotion Pumps
·Traditional Pump
Basic lotion pump is designed with screw on / off (goose neck), stable liquid output, widely used for daily-use shampoo and body wash.
·Twist-to-open/Switch locking Pump
The pump closes /opens by twist the head to left /right, prevents accidental pressing and leakage. Ideal for travel-size and portable bottles.
·Airless Pump
Tube-free vacuum design, isolates air effectively, avoids liquid oxidation, suitable for high-end skincare essence and lotions.
Tips
The main material of lotion pumps is PP/PE, non-toxic and safe, suitable for daily chemicals, food, baby products and other applications. The most standard size is 24/410 & 28/410.
